the benefits of gymnastic training

The Benefits of gymnastics training are substantial. Firstly, there is the team spirit of belonging to a group all working for the same ends. You do tend to find that when one gymnast does something new or excels at a competition, their entire peer group is pleased, but when things go wrong - they all share the disappointment and are there to support each other.

There is also the substantial benefit of regular physical exercise that far too many children lack today and the fact that many studies show that academic achievement for gymnasts is often higher than average. It could be that increased exercise raises the supply of oxygen in the blood levels to the brain, or that the extended levels of concentration that gymnasts are involved in helps with their ability to concentrate on their studies.

There is also the added factor of the increased confidence gained by children who do something well. Aren't all children born a gymnast? When out for a walk or out shopping, children always seem to want to climb on a wall, swing from a rail or branch etc. But by educating children into a gymnastic discipline you tend to find they have the mental ability to perform gymnastic elements with a discipline and concentration that they carry through to all areas of their life.

If they have all this, then a future can be offered that brings with it fitness with flexibility; strength; excitement; elegance; self-esteem and confidence all rolled into one.

And at esprit we endeavour to "find the champion in your child"
