Summer Camp Success – 20 August 2003

4 artistic gymnasts from the Esprit Academy attended the Pegasus Gym camp in Maidstone Kent recently, where they were lucky enough to be trained by three of Romanias top coaches – the three coaches were helping run a Summer course at Pegasus and the gymnasts from Swindon had a wonderful experience over the 4 days of the course, “Pegasus is a high performance club and offered the children 4 days of some of the best training available in Europe”, said Katy Smith Head Artistic Coach. “I was extremely proud of them, they equipped themselves magnificently and the coaches were so impressed they have invited them to train with them again in October. The girls themselves relished the experience and even though it was hard to understand some of the things the coaches said soon worked out what they were trying to do, every one of them learning moves they had not done before.
