As adults don't we sometimes forget the really important things in life, like being happy with our own performance? We concentrate too often on what others can do, what others say, what others deem success. By doing this what we believe controls our thoughts, I can or I cannot becomes true, whatever you say, you are right, it's simply an attitude of mind.

Many children that start a sport believe they can't. "I'm scared, I can't do that, everyone is better than me" all before they even try a new challenge. It is an important part of our role to help children overcome these negative thoughts and change them into "I can do it". If a child ever say's "I can't do it", we finish the statement with "YET". 'I can't do it' is a negative statement, 'I can't do it yet' becomes a positive, it also provides a goal to which a child a can aspire. Simple, indeed, effective, oh yes.

We help create a positive atmosphere by constantly creating new challenges that your child can successfully accomplish, we take great care to ensure that your child is dealt with in a way that will help develop a positive reaction to any situation, to ensure that fear, difficulties and failures are dealt with positively and constructively. Most of all we recognise that the best way to help any child succeed is to challenge them, within their natural ability and to do this through a culture of cooperation and reward for self-improvement.

At the esprit academy we offer a well-disciplined gymnastic club, with structured lessons that help with the development of children in sport. Our prime consideration is to ensure all children at the academy feel special, not just those with exceptional talent. However esprit is an academy of excellence and those children that show the obvious signs of aptitude for a gymnastic discipline are given opportunities to develop further.

All children are encouraged to develop at their own pace, simply so that they may enjoy all of the physical and mental benefits innate to the sport. Their coach will then decide the best route for them to ensure they become the very best that they can. But no matter what their desire, esprit will encourage your child to find their 'Champion' inside.
