some esprit success stories...

laura halford

As a six year old, Laura was identified as having the potential to succeed as a high level rhythmic gymnast.

Since that time Laura has become one of Britain’s greatest ever rhythmic gymnasts. Winning the British Championships title 3 years in a row (so far)! She also won an incredible 3 Commonwealth Games medal in Glasgow 2014, as well as her best ever result at the World Championships!

Already at the top, after more than 10 years in the sport, Laura is still only at the beginning of her amazing journey.

georgie ashford

As a young gymnast, Georgie learnt the key to success was hard work, dedication and practice, practice, practice.

A work ethic she has continued to apply as a graduate of the Arts Educational School London and subsequently as a successful West End musical theatre actress. Georgie has already appeared in the West End and throughout the UK in some of the leading Musical Theatre productions, including A Chorus Line, Legally Blonde, Singing in the Rain and Barnum, as well as several performances at the Royal Albert Hall in the BBC Proms. Georgie is living proof, if you start here, you really can go anywhere!

courtney hows

As one of the most successful artistic gymnasts ever trained in Swindon, Courtney, after qualifying for the British Championships, went on to win academic scholarships and become an excellent all round sportswoman.

Since winning a coveted place at one of the Countries leading performing arts schools, she now focuses on her passion for singing, and performing, but will always have a love for gymnastics and still coaches the sport at a club in London in her spare time.

elise gilbert

Starting as an artistic gymnast, before making the switch to the rhythmic discipline, Elise developed a unique understanding of the body and how it works.

Elise's knowledge is now helping her in an exciting career as a sports therapist and runs her practice from Esprit's facility here at Headlands.

rebecca jose

Swindon born Rebecca was four times Senior British Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion and has enjoyed a high flying career, travelling the world with the internationally renowned, Cirque du Soleil.

A great friend of Esprit and now a mother herself, she regularly stops off to pass on her extensive knowledge to our gymnasts when she is in the UK.

hannah wickens

A member of the British Women's Artistic Gymnastics Squad, the pinnacle of Hannah's career was to be crowned British Vault Champion.

Now as a valued member of Esprit's elite coaching team she is, along with a strong team of coaches, helping Esprit's young squad gymnasts achieve their own personal best. An exceptional role model herself, Hannah is working hard to help develop the next generation of Champion gymnasts!
